Sony Ericsson has releases a new firmware upgrade for Xperia phone series since last month. So if you want upgrade your phone with official application Sony Ericsson, grab it!
- Go to SE Update Service website and select your phone model.
- Download software and install the application to your computer as normal.
- Once you have it installed, launch the application.
- Here is the initial check for the instruction and accept agreement.
- Connect the phone to computer via USB port.
Notice that the Next button doesn’t appear. If you miss the step, you can go repeat until you can click Next. - The software will check the current version and show it on screen.
- Click Install and confirm Yes at prompt to confirm data removal.
- The application will start to download software and continue the install process automatically.
Note that file size may be different for each phone model. - Once the update process has completed, you can disconnect the phone and turn it on.
The process takes about half an hour but it’s really depends on your some other factors such as internet connection, phone model and etc.
It could take longer than usual for the first start up. It’s ok, please be petiant, it will come back to work soon.. 
This Service Update can recover your phone in case it’s brick from from other troubles i.e. booting, software update from other sources However, I can’t say what exact issues that can this process to recover it… Good luck..
